Our meetings in Sudborough Village Hall have been held on the second Thursday of each month,
however with effect from September 2011 they are transferring to the first Thursday of each month.
This change will provide a greater gap beween the meetings at Sudborough and Chelveston which
we hope will provide members the opportunity to attend both meetings. Each meeting at Sudborough
commences at 8.00pm.
The Sudborough meetings follow the same format as those at Chelveston in that a 'popular level'
presentation is given on a particular aspect which is then followed after a break (if the skies are clear)
by an observing session in the grounds at the rear of the village hall. Presentations are provided either
by members of the society or by visiting speakers.
Past meetings at Sudborough have included presentations on the Solar System and advice on choosing telescopes and binoculars for astronomical use.
How To Find Us:
Sudborough is located off the A6116 approximately mid-way between Thrapston and Corby (exit Junction
12 of the A14). If heading from Thrapston on the A6116, take the first left turning into Sudborough, round
the sharp left and right bend. The village hall is on your right just past the phone box.
If heading from Stanion, then take the second right turning into Sudborough and then as above.
