Sywell Country Park Observing Sessions
OUR OBSERVING SESSIONS AT SYWELL COUNTRY PARK HAVE NOW CONCLUDED FOR
THE SUMMER. WE AIM TO ARRANGE FURTHER SESSIONS FOR WHEN THE DARKER
EVENINGS RETURN FROM SEPTEMBER ONWARDS. FURTHER DETAILS WILL BE POSTED
HERE IN DUE COURSE.
Nene Valley Astronomical Society is pleased to have teamed up with Sywell Country Park to offer
regular night sky observing sessions which are open to members and non-members alike. On clear
evenings telescopes will be set up in the top car park; all are welcome. We recommend that all
attendees dress warmly and bring a torch as some of the ground is uneven.
Due to the high level of demand for these sessions and to ensure that everyone has adequate time to
look through the telescopes we have decided that the evenings are open to those who reserve places
in advance only. To book please either e-mail us with the dates you would like to book (preferred) or
leave a message on our observing line on 07504 989890. Attendance at the evenings is free.
If for reasons of poor weather we have to cancel a session, we will circulate those who have advanced booked at
around 6.30pm via e-mail on the evening.
